GET MOVING NIGHT AT HFS
A “Get Moving Night” was sponsored by PTO, and coordinate by
Pam Porter and Theresia Gussler. The event was held March 19,
2010 at 7:00pm. Everyone was invited. The event was developed to
encourage physical fitness within the family setting. The
activities included Zumba and Tae Kwan Do Classes as well as
guest appearances from the Boyd County 4-H club and Porter

ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPETE IN
GOVERNORS CUP DISTRICT FINALS
Holy Family’s Elementary Governor’s Cup placed District
Runners Up and were able to advance to the Regional Tournament.
Holy Family’s Elementary Governor’s Cup placed 3rd in Regional
Tournaments:
Daniel Hodges: First place in Social Studies
Hannah Reese: Third place in Social Studies
Rachael Barber: First Place in Language Arts

RESULTS FOR THE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD MEET
Holy Family competed in the regional Science Olympiad Meet
held in Maysville, Kentucky. Groups competed in events such as:
Anatomy, Experimental Design, Pentathlon, Solar System etc.

RESULTS FOR THE ANNUAL CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
MIDDLE SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Holy Family hosted the Annual Catholic Schools Week Middle
School Basketball Tournament Feb 4th thru Feb 6th. Participating
teams included Huntington St. Joe, Ironton St. Joe, Rose Hill
Christian Academy, Harvest Christian Academy, Portsmouth Notre
Dame, and Holy Family School. The tournament was well attended
and successful. Over 100 kids participated, including basketball
players and cheerleaders. The winner was Huntington St. Joe.
Runner up was Portsmouth Notre Dame, 8th grade team. |
